$37 million for enterprise data analytics company Tinybird

April 6, 2022

In the United States, enterprise data analytics company Tinybird has raised $37 million in a Series A funding round, which it will use to expand into new regions, create connectors for other cloud providers and create new ways for users to create their own connectors.

Tinybird, based in New York and Madrid, Spain, helps companies unlock the full potential of their data by converting it into real-time insights. Developers can use the company’s platform to build data products in its SQL-based APIs, which ingest millions of rows per second. Additionally, the platform automatically ingests customer usage data and serves it as API endpoints directly in a customer’s application; and it helps make sense of user behavior as it occurs for use in real-time personalization initiatives.

The new funding comes from existing investors Crane Ventures, Datadog CPO Amit Agarwal and Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch, as well as new investments from CRV and Singular Ventures. Last year, Tinybird raised $3 million in a seed funding round, led by Crane, with participation from several business angels.

Tinybird CEO and co-founder Jorge Sancha (pictured) comments on the latest round: “This is a pivotal moment for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their support and more encouraged to realize our vision for data and We want to enable any developer to build massively scalable real-time data products with the tools they already use every day – SQL and API – and the way they already build This investment will allow us to double that mission, delivering even better features for developers and data teams, as well as improving how we support our existing customers.
