He quickly rose through the ranks, and the Wildcats thrived under his offensive leadership. Under Klieman's watch, the Wildcats achieved remarkable success, with Klein at the helm of the offense. In 2022, K-State won a Big 12 championship, averaging 32.3 points and 418.8 yards per game. The offense was even stronger in 2023, averaging 37.1 points and 445.2 yards per game.
Klein's success caught the eye of Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko, where he served as one of the highest-paid coordinators in college football. During his time with the Aggies, Klein continued to coach explosive offenses, averaging 36.3 points and 454.4 yards per game this season.
