Najarro joined Mortgage Professional America for this exclusive interview and shared some valuable lessons she learned along the way.

Mortgage Professional America: Can you tell me how, when and why you started the mortgage business? What are the ins and outs of your mortgage business: who are your key partners, where is your business from and what is your team like?

Lisbeth Najarro: I started as a credit assistant in June 2016. My husband was already in the real estate sector. Being a stay-at-home mom with two dependent babies, I was ready to re-enter the workforce. A loan officer my husband was working with at the time was looking for an assistant, and my husband made the introduction. Mortgage business in/out is pretty easy (the formula is simple), but the work is hard. Know your business, know your customer and do it. It’s simple.

What has helped me a lot is the fact that I speak three languages (Spanish, English and Portuguese) which attracts a wider range of clients and being licensed in nine states expands my footprint. My main partners are real estate agents, title companies, insurance agents, family and friends. My very efficient team consists of two processors and an assistant. They are phenomenal!
