White MN and SD farmers involved in race-related government lawsuit
In 2021, the concerns of society revolve mainly around the pandemic or race. Most of the time we think of people of color when the topics of racial inequality and injustice are brought up. But there are times when we remember the struggle of the Whites. Several state groups of white farmers and ranchers are fighting the federal government for loan cancellation.
A group of white farmers and ranchers in the Midwest are suing the federal government over President Joe Biden’s US bailout bill of 2021.
According to PBS, a group of farmers in the Midwestern Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota and Ohio are suing the federal government over a race issue involving the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The group says they are victims discrimination because, as whites, they will not benefit from $ 4 billion in aid to cancel loans to socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers.
White farmers and ranchers, who are not seen as socially disadvantaged, will not benefit from a $ 4 billion loan forgiveness.
